The Government of Cameroon, represented by the Ministry of Public Health received support within the framework of financial cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany in order to strengthen the health sector development. Since 1998 this Programme called «Health Sector Programme» is implemented in three provinces of the country, namely: Coastal-, North West- and South West-Province. Infrastructure rehabilitation financed by KfW has to be seen complementary to activities supported by the German technical cooperation in the same geographical area.
The intention of the requested mission was to propose viable solutions with regard to the healthcare waste, which has increased in line with the in-creased use of the facilities after rehabilitation of buildings. The main beneficiaries of the requested services were the provincial delegates of health, the hospital directors and the population treated in the health facilities.
The ETLog Health's Expert has identified and developed comprehensive strategies in a stepwise approach which contributed to improved hospital and health care waste management in the three provinces. On top of that, the proposed strategies might as well as serve as a model in other parts of the country.In order to identify such strategies the expert of ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH will:
