Project description:

A tailor-made training programme was developed by ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH for the specific needs of Nigeria. The core element of this training programme were a course of a total package of Healthcare Waste Management and Treatment from inception to implementation (from cradle to Grave) and included aspect for the Training of Trainers (ToT) for staff from ROVA.

Services provided by ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH:

• Development of a full training program for three days including

  • a training curriculum;

  • the required training documents (background literature and documents);

  • a detailed HCW compendium (about 50 pages) adapted to the situation in Nigeria;

  • PowerPoint presentations;

  • Workshops;

• It also included a game secession by the usage of the AIDS prevention game “Think Negative!” to underline the importance of proper HCW management in the field of HIV prevention strategies.
