Project description:

The workshops have conducted in the frame of the "Kuwait Waste Management Conference" and the "Kuwait Lab Technology" in 2009 supported by the Ministry of Health.

The main objective of the healthcare waste training is to educate selected staff to become the responsible person for the waste management in their hospital. The participants will learn how to plan, set up and independently run the waste management system of a health institution. After the course, the employees will know how to minimize nosocomial infections and occupational accidents related to healthcare waste. They will know how to react in case of emergencies and injuries and how to use basic waste management tools.
