Project description:
The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), USA and the Government of Mongolia have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact/ Agreement. Mongolia has rapidly increasing rates of NCDIs, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancers and injury-induced trauma. To improve the situation, the MCC Health Project consists of the following activities (each, a "Project Activity"):
a) NCDI Capacity Building Activity.
b) NCDI Prevention Activity.
c) NCDI Early Detection Activity.
d) NCDI Management Activity.
An Environmental and Social Oversight Consultant for the MCA Mongolia is assigned and one of the tasks is to conduct trainings for
- aimag level inspection agency: to better control health and safety of facilities and waste management;
- health staff: to better manage the waste problem.
Services provided by ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics:
The National action plan on HCWM was endorsed in September 2009 in Mongolia. The task of ETLog Health will be to provide training, targeting employees of the health department office and agency for specialized inspection of aimag who will become trainers in their region. From each region 2 people will be selected to be trained as trainers. The works includes
- Outline a training programme to be submitted and approved by the national working group
- Development of training material
- Providing a Train-the-Trainers training in Zuumond
- Write a report on the carried out training
